Patna Metro lines explained: the Blue Line

Where Patna Metro runs today, which stations it serves, and what is still being built.

Patna has one metro line open so far, the Blue Line. Its first three elevated stations opened to passengers on 7 October 2025, and the line was extended to Malahi Pakri on 2 July 2026.

Blue Line

Trains run on the elevated priority corridor from Patliputra Bus Terminal, also called New ISBT, through Zero Mile and Bhootnath to Malahi Pakri. See the Blue Line page for the stations in order.

Khemnichak lies between Bhootnath and Malahi Pakri. Reports say trains pass through it without stopping until its construction is finished, so it is not listed here yet.

Still being built

The Blue Line is planned to continue underground towards Patna Junction, and a separate Red Line is being built east to west. Those stations were not open when this page was written. We add them here once passengers can ride them.
