Nagpur Metro lines explained: the Orange and Aqua lines
Where Nagpur Metro runs today, which stations it serves, and where the two lines meet.
Nagpur has two metro lines open, the Orange Line and the Aqua Line. Both are run by Maha-Metro and they cross at one interchange, Sitabuldi, in the heart of the city.
Orange Line
The Orange Line runs north to south. It starts at Automotive Square on Kamptee Road, passes Sitabuldi and Congress Nagar, and continues along Wardha Road past the airport to Khapri. The last stations in the south run at ground level rather than on a viaduct.
Aqua Line
The Aqua Line runs east to west on a fully elevated track. It begins at Prajapati Nagar, calls at Nagpur Railway Station beside the main railway station, crosses to Sitabuldi and ends at Lokmanya Nagar.
Changing trains
Use Sitabuldi to switch between the two lines. For a trip across town, the route finder works out the steps for you.
Timings and fares
We list first and last trains and fares for a line only once we have a source we can check. Until then, see the operator’s official site linked on each line page.
