Lucknow Metro lines explained: the Red Line from the airport to Munshi Pulia

Where Lucknow Metro runs today, which stations it serves, and what is still being built.

Lucknow has one metro line open today, the Red Line. It runs north to south across the city, from the airport in the south-west to Munshi Pulia in Indira Nagar in the north-east. Most stations are elevated, and three in the city centre are underground.

Red Line

The line starts at CCS Airport and passes Transport Nagar and Alambagh before reaching Charbagh, next to the main railway station. It then goes underground at Hussainganj, Sachivalaya and Hazratganj, and comes back above ground to run past the university and on to Munshi Pulia. See the Red Line page for every station in order.

Still being built

An east-west line from Vasant Kunj to Charbagh has been approved and is not open. We add it here once passengers can ride it.
