Delhi Metro lines explained: colours, routes and where to change
Which Delhi Metro line goes where, plus the Noida Aqua Line and Rapid Metro Gurugram, and the main places to change.
Delhi’s metro network has eleven lines open today: the Delhi Metro’s own lines, the Aqua Line in Noida and Greater Noida, and the Rapid Metro loop in Gurugram.
Main lines
- Red Line: from Rithala through Kashmere Gate and Shahdara to Shaheed Sthal. See the Red Line page.
- Yellow Line: north to south through Rajiv Chowk to Gurugram. See the Yellow Line page.
- Blue Line: east to west from Noida Electronic City through Rajiv Chowk to Dwarka. See the Blue Line page.
- Green Line: from Inderlok to Brigadier Hoshiyar Singh in Bahadurgarh, with a branch to Kirti Nagar. See the Green Line page.
- Violet Line: from Kashmere Gate to Ballabhgarh. See the Violet Line page.

Ring and outer lines
- Pink Line: a ring around the city along the Inner Ring Road, with a branch to Shiv Vihar. The Soorghat station on it is not open yet. See the Pink Line page.
- Magenta Line: Botanical Garden to Krishna Park Extension, and a separate section from Majlis Park to Deepali Chowk. The gap between them is still under construction. See the Magenta Line page.
- Grey Line: a short line from Dwarka to Dhansa Bus Stand. See the Grey Line page.
Outside Delhi
- Aqua Line: Noida Sector 51 to Depot Station in Greater Noida. See the Aqua Line page.

Where to change
- Rajiv Chowk: Yellow and Blue lines.
- Noida Sector 52 and Noida Sector 51: Blue Line and Aqua Line.
- Sikanderpur: Yellow Line and Rapid Metro.
- Majlis Park: Pink and Magenta lines.
- Maujpur - Babarpur: the Pink Line main ring and the Shiv Vihar branch.
