Bhopal Metro lines explained: the Orange Line

Where Bhopal Metro runs today, which stations it serves, and what is still being built.

Bhopal has one short metro section open today, the first stretch of the Orange Line. It opened on 21 December 2025 and has eight elevated stations between AIIMS in the south-west and Subhash Nagar in the north.

Orange Line

The line starts at AIIMS, then goes to Alkapuri and DRM Office. Rani Kamlapati is next, near the railway station of the same name, followed by MP Nagar, Board Office Square, Kendriya Vidyalaya and Subhash Nagar. See the Orange Line page for every station in order.

Still being built

The Orange Line is planned to continue north from Subhash Nagar to Karond Chauraha, and a second line, the Blue Line, is under construction. Neither was open to passengers when this page was written. We add new stations here once passengers can ride them.
